The Senate has approved the National Anthem Bill 2024.
This bill earlier reported, seeks to reinstate the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”
The bill rapidly cleared both its first and second readings and now awaits President Bola Tinubu’s signature to become law.
The development follows the House of Representatives’ passage of the bill on Thursday.
However, there have been various reactions from Nigerians who are of the opinion that the decision of the senate does not contribute to the wellbeing as well as solving the economic situation in the country.
