“MY PERCEPTION”
In Nigeria, being an extrovert or introverts are understood in a few cultural ways that may influence how individuals express these traits. Here’s a simple explanation of Me being an extrovert and others as introverts here in Nigeria:
– Extroverts in Nigeria:
Extroverts are actually individuals that are often seen as people who love the outside more. Someone like me, I like to “flex”. We are outgoing, sociable, and energetic in social settings. Most of us enjoy attending events, parties, and gatherings where they can interact with Alot of people. All or most of them are friendly, talkative, and what I call enthusiastic. And someone like me loves sharing thoughts and experiences with others.
-Introverts in Nigeria: Introverts here in Nigeria may prefer a quiet space, more intimate settings and they value alone time and feel more comfortable indoors. Most introverts in Nigeria may find it challenging to navigate social places or events that prioritize extroverts and their traits. However, introverts in Nigeria, they do more of one-on-one conversations, deep discussions, and activities that allow for focused attention. They may enjoy activities such as reading, writing, or pursuing personal interests.
So, all these is my own perception or summary on the emphasis on living life, family ties, and social gatherings. And all these may shape how extrovert and introvert traits are expressed and perceived in Nigeria. Understanding these differences can help mostly Teens and other individuals appreciate the different ways in which people in Nigeria engage with social interactions and find balance in their personal preferences.
